Dallas Albert Bond

September 27, 1951 - October 5, 2024

Tribute

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother & uncle, Dallas Bond on October 5th, 2024. Dallas passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters Stacey & Angela, son-in law Tyler and close family friend Maye.

Dallas was born in Cranbrook, BC on September 27, 1951. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard Sr. (Herbert) & Edith Bond, his eldest sister Doris and two brothers Leonard & Allen. He is survived by his siblings Esther, Marvin (Susie) & Dennis (Vivian) and many nieces and nephews.

Dallas was a devoted father to his 2 daughters, Stacey & Angela (Tyler), 4 grandchildren Mitch (Kiersten), Cole (Alyssa), Paiten (Jordan) & Bethany (Logan).

Dallas lived in Canal Flats and worked his years as a logger alongside his father and then onto other logging companies. He then later drove logging truck and Ore truck which satisfied his love for driving. Dallas was married at a young age to Monique Franceour who he raised his children with.

Dallas always had a passion for the outdoors, you could always find him camping with family and friends, fishing on the Columbia Lake or White Swan, hunting or simply out for a drive in the bush to enjoy his back yard. Dallas enjoyed all family BBQ’s and family gatherings; he was usually the entertainment of the night with his hilarious stories of his childhood and young adult life. There was usually a new story to be told at every gathering.

Later Dallas moved to Cranbrook where he kept himself busy touring the streets on his scooter and joining the gym, checking out the pawn shops and having coffee with his best friend Bill. Dallas later moved to Invermere to the Columbia Garden Village where he had many more adventures on his scooter, he would ride out to the back country and to smaller communities in the area. There was nothing stopping him for going to where he loved to be.

There will be a Celebration of life BBQ held at his daughter Angela’s house on October 26th. We invite all family and friends to join in celebrating in the only way Dallas would see appropriate.
