Helen "Raylene" Bayley/BanQuan
December 28, 1953 - April 4, 2022
Tribute
On Monday, April 4, 2022, Raylene Bayley/Ban Quan passed away in Cranbrook at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with her sons by her side. Raylene was born on December 28, 1953 in Cranbrook to John and Jane Bayley. She was one of 12 children born to the Bayleys’.
Raylene held several different jobs during her life – first was a mother as well as a Baker and an Administrative officer. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Royal Canadian Legion Br. No. 24 and the Red Cross Society. Raylene loved to spend time with her friends and family and always enjoyed getting out for a game of golf with her friends. Raylene was a very caring person, always looking out for her boys no matter what. She would hold off on things for herself in order to make sure her sons were taken care of. They always came first. She had a love and devotion for her family that ran very deep no matter how far they were. She will be missed by all of us dearly.
Raylene leaves behind her beloved sons; John Patrick, James Darren (Oggy), Benjamin Adam and her stepson Joseph Wayne, as well as her daughters in law Jennifer and Rebecca. Also left behind are her brothers; Murray, Steven, Pat, Mike and Sean and sisters; Norma, Sharon, Brenda and Thea as well as many nieces and nephews. Raylene was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim Ban Quan, her parents John and Jane Bayley and two brothers; Bob and Johnny.
A Celebration of Raylene’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Eagles Hall, 715 Kootenay St. N., Cranbrook. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Raylene’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Mom was a treasure in my life. Loved our golf nights together on Wednesday nights, hanging out on he farm having bbqs, having a “few” beer at the Eagles.
She was a fighter. When she was first diagnosed, she asked if I would accompany her to her appointments. It was like it never fazed her, she was going to beat this. I never seen her down, always positive. It makes me sad I didn’t come around as often over the last few years. She fought to the bitter end
Thank you for welcoming me and making me feel like a daughter. Will always carry fond and loving memories. Always in my heart. – Shell
