Marjorie Ann Fabro (Biddlecombe)

November 28, 1938 - December 16, 2024

Tribute

With heavy hearts the family of Marjorie Ann Fabro announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend on the evening of December 16, 2024.

Marjorie passed away peacefully after one last “teatime” with her family.

Marjorie is again reunited with the love of her life Don, who predeceased her in 2016.

Marjorie was born and raised in Meadowbrook, BC in pioneer conditions in the log house that still stands today. It was in Meadowbrook where she found her love of horses.

Marjorie was happiest, when surrounded by family and horses.  Mom spent many years raising Tennessee Walking Horses, travelling through out Western Canada and USA promoting and showing her horses. The love of horses was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was never without a horse to care for. Unfortunately, as her health declined, she could no longer ride.

Marjorie was a very accomplished artist, and many of her beautiful paintings adorn homes in Kimberley and surrounding areas.

Mom never missed an opportunity to show anyone interested, her collection of paintings that she carried with her in a photo album.

Marjorie was a very proud and strong woman, who left an impression with everyone she met.

Marjorie is survived by her children Dan, David (Carolynne), Patti (Doug), her grandchildren Haley, Clancy (Jess), Jaydlyn, Chad (Kelsey), Shane (April), Kevin (Christine), Katie (Sean) and Brenden, her great grandchildren Bella, Paislee, Billie, Cade, Layne, Natalie, Madaline, Annabelle, Jayce, Sawyer and Aurora.

Marjorie was also predeceased by her mother Marjorie, Father Frank, Brothers Frank, Arthur, George, Evan and Sister-in-law Alice Mae.

Moms’ family wish to thank the staff at the Kimberley Pines for the loving care she received during her stay.

A remembrance will be held in the spring of 2025. Please remember our mother with donations to the EK Dementia/Alzheimer’s Society.

I express my deepest sympathy in this time of great sorrow. The Bible gives a comforting hope and promises that your loved one will come to life again on a peaceful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Acts 24:15.

From: Raeanne Sullivan
Relation: My sister is April and I am the sister -Inlaw to Shane.

Sending love and condolences to all during this time.
We had the pleasure of meeting Marj last year when our family flew over to Canada from Australia to witness the marriage of April (our sister) and Shane. Marj welcomed us into her home and showed us all of her beautiful paintings etc, we also had the daily pleasure of watching marj each morning drive her gator past the house. In her red jumper, beanie and handbag on the seat beside her. They are just a few of the memories we hold of her against the lifetime of memories you all will hold close to your heart. May she be at peace and reunited with her husband. – From All of April’s Family back in Australia.
