Tribute

Einar St. Jean passed away on the morning of Monday, June 28, 2021 at the F.W. Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook, BC at the age of 85 years.  Einar was born at home on the farm near Big River, Saskatchewan on January 24, 1936.  He was one of six children born to Arthur and Mary St. Jean.

Einar married his wife, Carol Anne on June 13, 1960 and they were blessed with six children.  Einar worked at Fording Coal in Elkford, BC until his retirement.

Einar leaves to mourn his passing his children; Marie Lynn (Greg) Merrall, Glynn (Diane), Colette (Stavros) Tosounidis, Laura (Mark) Lamont, Cameron (Marcie) and Reni Rourke.  Also left behind are six grandchildren; Chalayna, Ethan, Madison, Chloe, Emma and Maija.  He also leaves two brothers; Russell and Jerry and one sister Laura Smart.  Einar was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mary; and two brothers; Bateese and Henry.

A private family graveside service has been held at Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook.
