Elizabeth "Annette" Oslund (MacInnis)
March 23, 1936 - October 17, 2020
Tribute
In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 17, 2020 Elizabeth Annette Oslund passed away peacefully in Cranbrook with family by her side at the age of 84 years. Dementia stole you from us ten years ago and God has now taken you home. Mom’s whole life was dedicated to her faith in God and her family. We take comfort in knowing that she has started her next journey, a journey she always talked about.
Annette was born in Florence, Nova Scotia on March 23, 1936 to Roderick and Florence MacInnis.
Our Mom, there are not enough words…not enough beauty, strength, heart or soul to describe our Mom. She had a vision that most people were blind to. Mom could see a lost soul and people’s pain…Mom would accept everyone and speak her truth. Mom’s love was … and is … encompassing.
Annette leaves behind her family to cherish her memory, her sons; Rod, Walter, Larry, Mark and Noel and their families as well as her daughters Christine, Benita and Jannette and their families. She also leaves behind 35 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Annette leaves four brothers as well, Rod, Farrell, Hughie and Tom. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Roy, her parents Roderick and Florence MacInnis and nine siblings, Bill, John, Buddy, Elmer, Mary, Florence, Angeline, Viola and Emma.
A Family Memorial service for Annette will take place at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Annette’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC, 235 1st Avenue, Suite 405, Kamloops, BC, V2C 3J4.
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it someday for a crown

Our deepest condolences to the Oslund family. There will always be the memories of when Aunt Annette would visit her siblings in Cape Breton and share stories of growing up, jokes and laughter sitting around the kitchen table. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
