Jacob Houstan Dilts
July 5, 1989 - December 27, 2024
Tribute
Lovingly known as “Peanut”, “Jake” and “Houstan”, Jacob Houstan Dilts was born in Cranbrook, BC, on July 5, 1989, the youngest and final addition to his parents, Christine and Randy. Our hearts are shattered as we mourn his sudden and tragic passing on December 27, 2024.
Jacob was the beloved little brother to Amber and Brady, the bonus not-so-little brother to his step-siblings, Devin and Hailey, and an additional bonus son to Cyndie. He was a devoted son, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, known for his gift of a good story and his ability to
fill any room with laughter. His soft heart and sharp sense of humor made him the light of our lives, while his fiercely stubborn determination fueled his strength and, at times, filled us with great anguish.
Jacob’s greatest passions were hunting, fishing, exploring nature, building things, fixing his vehicles and maintaining his physical strength and fitness—second only to his unwavering love for his family and friends.
Known for his exemplary work ethic, Jacob thrived in various roles throughout his career, especially during his time at Wilkinson Steel and Metals and Teck Mines.
A memorial service to celebrate Jacob’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at First Baptist Church Cranbrook with a reception to follow. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Baynes Lake Cemetery.

Relation: Good friend/ son
He was truly one of a kind – smart, funny always looking out for. He never let life get in the way and always looking out for our two kids Malorie and Nick Demers. He has left the earth way too young he will always hold a special place in our hearts and others. He thought of us like his second Dad and Mom.
