Tribute
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Larsen Skow announce his passing on September 2, 2016, at 1:22 a.m. “Dick,” as he liked to be called, was born in Calgary, Alberta, on Easter Sunday, April 20, 1930, to Arthur and Alice Skow. Dick became a journeyman electrician and later moved to Sparwood and then Cranbrook where he married Joyce May Yandon (née Perron) on June 25, 1977. They moved to an acreage near Moyie and remained there for 29 years before moving to Cranbrook in 2007.
Dick was predeceased by his parents and his sister Elizabeth (Frank Goettler) and sister Patricia. He is survived by his wife Joyce; brother Arthur, “Sonny,”; his four children, Elizabeth (Stuart, deceased) Cerny, Douglas (Dianne), James (Dolores), Arthur (Patricia), and stepdaughter Naomi; his grandchildren, Craig (Tara), Keith (Fiona), Richard (Stacey), Crystal (Karl), Kirsten, Rachel (Josh), Lewis, Byron, Jesse, Jenna, Jaida, and Naiwa; and great grandchildren Kaden, Aviya, Hailey, Amelia, and Owen; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
