William ("Bill") Robert Johnson

Tribute
William Robert (Bill) Johnson passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 92 years. Bill was born in Piapot, Saskatchewan on October 29, 1927 to Bob and Sadie Johnson.
In Bill’s early years, he was a member of the Teamster Union and the Operating Engineers where he worked on numerous large construction projects in BC. Later, with his wife Fran by his side, they ranched on the Peavine. They ranched together for over 30 years. Later Bill moved to Willowbrook Estates residing there until his passing.
Bill is survived by his daughters; Debbie (Kelly) Shaw of Cranbrook and Judy (Ron) Stanley of Vancouver. He also leaves his grandchildren Sarah Shaw. Erin O’Connell, Montana, Kerry and Luke Stanley. Bill is also survived by his great grandson, Frank O’Connell and his sister, Geraldine Mitchell. Fran, the love of Bill’s life, passed away on November 15, 2005.
There will be no service at this time as per COVID restrictions but a family gathering will be held at a later date when permitted.
